1939 Vintage Beach Fashion from Women’s Weekly Australia

Oh my goodness! You guys! Pinterest has struck again and I just came across these wonderful summer and beach fashions from 1939! The late 1930s is one of my favorite periods for vintage fashion, so what a treat to find an entire archive of Australia’s Women’s Weekly magazine online! (link below)

These “Prints from Polynesia” are just gorgeous! I love the red and blue “Oui-Oui Shells” two piece ensemble! I would wear this look in a heartbeat. The white linen print two halter and skirt outfit is also wonderful! Here are a bunch more beach and summer fashions from the late 30s!

The red off shoulder bathing suit is my favorite from this page. Seems really fancy for the beach and to go swimming in…although, I’m not much of a swim in the ocean kind of girl. I’m definitely more of a lounger on a beach blanket with giant sunglasses, an umbrella, and 100 SPF sunblock!
